Our Mission...
GravissiMum LLC. is a family-focused company run by Catholic mothers providing parents and educators with resources, such as books, that introduce the catholic faith in an engaging and approachable manner. Our passion is bridging the gap between faith lives and family lives.
Pope Paul VI, in his encyclical titled GRAVISSIMUM EDUCATIONIS, spoke on the importance of education and reminded parents that they have the primary roles as educators of their children. Through our beautiful illustrations and simple writing, we strive to give parent’s the confidence to introduce complex and often intimidating concepts about the Catholic faith and teach it to their children in approachable and easy-to-understand stories.
Our Writer
Victoria Burns is a Catholic, stay-at-home mom of 5 living a life of beautiful chaos. When she discovered a lack of themed Catholic ABC books, she wrote a series of books to teach her children the Catholic Faith. After trying the traditional publishing route for a few years, she decided to create her own company, GravissiMum, to bring her creations to life.
In addition to homeschooling and managing their homestead, she teaches at her church, writes children’s picture books and adult fantasy, sells farm products at local craft fairs, and helps her husband renovate their rundown farmhouse and 19-acre farm.
